Furtrieve is a Revolutionary Approach to Pet Tracking. Find comfort in always being able to track your furry friend with the Furtrieve pet tracker and mobile app. For the research phase of our project, we conducted desk research, semi-structural interviews, contextual interviews, competetive analysis, and surveys. Due to the pandemic, the interviews were conducted via zoom calls. We conducted about 20 semi-structual interviews and 2 contextual inquiries. Our focus was to collect both qualitative and quantitative data. The online survey was created in qualtrics and we collected 187 survey responses overall.
Current dog owners with atleast 6 months of dog care experience.
We collected all the data from our research and grouped the data in to different categories. Organizing the data into different categories using sticky notes on the miro board opened up many pain-points that the dog owners have. This data helped us coming up with features during the brain-storming process.
The application has 3 important features that gives access to dogs diet and diet related potential allergies and gives recommendations to treat those.
We created 2 journey maps using the features and tried creating a scenario to help understand the client of the importance of the concept for the users. Both the journey maps included the owners emotional journey, their pain-points and the actions taken by the dog owners.
We came up with the information architecture with all the features included to understand the structural design of the concept and including all the possible aspects into the architecture. Before jumping into wireframes and use cases, we wanted to understand the flow of the architecture.
To understand the flow of the application and each feature, we came up with user flows for each feature. This helped us in understanding the flow of the application and reduced the number of possible iterations.
We created the low-fidelity wireframes using the miro board. After using we conducted pilot testing made a few changes in the high-fidelity mockups.
The final high-fidelity mockups were created in inVision. The MVP consists of the following important features.
